Het lijkt alsof het duo David Linx/Diederik Wissels nu pas ten volle in eigen land gewaardeerd wordt. Beide heren klinken echter al op vele opnames en ook onder eigen naam zijn hun respectievelijke discografieën lijvig. 'This Time' is inmiddels al de tiende plaat die ze samen uitbrachten.
Door hun jarenlange samenwerking klinken de stemmen van Linx en Wissels hier meer dan ooit verbluffend één. Een aanzienlijk deel van het repertoire op 'This Time' schreef het duo samen, maar het lijkt alsof tekst en muziek door één pen vloeien. De woorden ontsnappen ogenschijnlijk heel spontaan en dankzij de ondersteuning die de zang van de piano geniet, komt de boodschap uiterst direct over. Een mooi voorbeeld is de compositie die haar naam aan deze cd schonk. 'This Time'.
